UnifOral
The Pill Swallowing Water Bottle
Problem Statement
Pill-swallowing anxiety is a prevalent issue that is often overlooked. According to market research, it was found that about 40% of Americans experience discomfort when swallowing pills, and 30% of the European population have pill swallowing anxiety. UnifOral was designed to mitigate the pill-to-throat contact and hide the pill from the user's view to alleviate the psychological anxiety. The pop bottle method was also applied through the bite-down silicone mouthpiece, which is an effective method that facilitates pill swallowing.
This project was created for the Purdue Design & Innovation Learning Community Competition in Spring 2022 and was awarded the Top Innovator prize. My team members were Siena Guccione and Lauren Sydney Hersh.
